And yet it’s entirely reasonable for Richard to get paid so much. What are they getting paid for if not for their predictive powers? Their great management skills? Haha. Meritocracy my ass.

How could the best economists from the greatest universities not see this fiasco coming? What is the worth of studying economics if they can be so wrong about such important issues? Or is this a case not of economics but politics, even greed?
